The Climate Reality Project
Getting people to care about something as big as climate change is about as easy as actually tackling climate change. Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project came to us to help them create a progressive brand millennials would feel proud to support. We created a clean, modern go-to site or all content relevant to climate change. In the first week of the site’s launch, 30,000 new visitors stopped by and return visits are up 31%.
Action Slider
Making progress doesn’t mean you have to chase down your Congressman and lecture him about Greenland’s big melt. There are plenty of ways to participate, and this tool allows users to sort for actionable content that fits within their level of engagement.
Action Tiles
Bold iconography creates a branded experience around small wins. Action Tiles are used throughout the site to codify the ways users can engage with the cause.
The Progress Pulse
In the spirit of celebrating small wins, the Progress Pulse cookies users and keeps track of their actions on the site. For every action they take, a pulse is added to your toolbar. The global community’s actions are also displayed, showing users that our actions may seem small, but they add up to create powerful momentum for change.
Mobile Ready
Since our audience is tethered to their phones, we designed the site with mobile as a priority. Because of our modular design solution, content can scale appropriately along the grid.
Interior Pages
As users explore the site, they're cookied by the progress pulse, which keeps tally of their actions on the site and how they contribute to the social revolution for climate awareness. Every action, from reading a blog post to learning about the science behind climate change will register as actions taken.
